Colt Government Model 1911
Serial Number C1031

Colt Government Model 1911 serial number C1031 - A 1912 Government Model in very nice condition with high polish finish and fire blued small parts. Serial Number C1031 located on the left forward part of the frame.  The serial number was moved to the right rear of the frame at approximately serial number C2250.  Slide stop is also the earliest variation.

Right side of C1031- Early "GOVERNMENT MODEL" roll marking on right frame, forward of the slide stop hole until approximately C4500 - C5000.
