Colt Government Model 1911
Serial Number C1475

Colt Government Model 1911 serial number C1475 - A 1912 Government Model in very nice condition with high polish finish and fire blued small parts.

Early "GOVERNMENT MODEL" roll marking on right frame, forward of the slide stop hole until approximately C4500 - C5000.

Left side of C1475

Serial Number C1475 - located on the left forward part of the frame.  The serial number was moved to the right rear of the frame at approximately serial number C2250.  Slide stop is also the earliest variation.

Recoil spring plug - earliest type with inward punched lip, rectangular profile.

Early tapered front sight.

Early rounded rear sight.
