Astra / Colt Junior Factory Cutaway
Pre-production Model Number 6

Astra / Colt Junior factory cutaway serial number 6 from the 1950s.  A few of these cutaway samples were made for Colt officials as pre-production prototypes when Astra was attempting to get the contract to manufacture the Colt Junior pistol.  

The right side of serial number 6.  The serial number is located under the grip and on the barrel.

Photograph of Astra cutaway serial number 22 from the Robert Q. Sutherland collection.  This cutaway is pictured on page 427 of the Book of Colt Firearms and belonged to a former president of Colt.
