which is common from overtighting. Blueing is worn off the slide, but about

Model 1911 colt govt.issue semi-automatic

model 1911 produced in 1913 was used by mr. tripps father during
the pacific campaign.of ww11.according to three separate
appraisers ,this gun is in excellent condition.there is very
little holster wear,minor grip scratches and the slide and
safties all work properly.it comes with 1 clip and two boxes of
ammo.it also comes with a copy of mr. tripps discharge showing
him as a purple heart winner and his full 4 years of service in
the pacific.the gun was used my mr.tripp as due to his build he
was assigned periodically as what they called a tunnel rat.in
those confines there was no room for a rifle. he served in the
27th division,106th infantry company h and was honorably
discharged on october 4,1945he enlisted oct 10,1945.there are
several other items available at extra cost for the true ww11
collector.those incude his class a uniform jacket and hat with
the purple heart and all appropriate patches buttons and awards
in excellent condition ,his 27th division yearbook from foer
