I am no expert but I personally would rate this gun at about 98% original bluing. Comes with original two-tone clip, original walnut grips. Guns has no rust or freckling at all. Has slight high edge wear on the sharp edges and looks like a little edge wear on the left side of receiver front from holster or storing in desk drawer? Gun is in excellent condition, inside and outside of barrel look as new. Barrel looks like a mirror with clean and crisp grooves. 1911 - Caliber: 45, SN: 62105, Price: 2995.00, Description: U.S. Army Colt 45 Model 1911 S/N 62105 Manufactured by Colt in spring of 1914. Colt 1911 U.S. Property - Caliber: .45ACP, SN: 186420, Price: $1250.00, Description: Colt Model 1911 .45 Pistol, U.S. Property, Serial No. 186420, manufactured in 1917, 1 of 23,386 delivered to the U.S. Army. $1250.00, plus $20.00 insured shipping - (Sorry, no CA sales). This old Veteran of WWI has seen some action and there are no stampings indicating that it has been through an arsenal for refurbishing. The slide has the proper 3/16" block "Model of 1911 U.S. Army" stamping (proper for S/N range 180000-270000) but the slide spring housing has the "new" shape that was introduced at about S/N 290000. Also, the slide has a dull blue finish as compared to the brighter finish remaining on the receiver.  Inspector's stamp "GHS" (Gilbert H. Stewart, Major, Ordnance Inspector, is correct for this serial number range.  The barrel has almost no finish remaining and there are no markings on the barrel lugs. "H" and "P" are stamped vertically on the barrel top at the chamber end. The stampings are weak but visible. Bore is in fair condition. The diamond checkered Walnut grips are in very good condition with no cracks or splits and the checkering is strong.  The two tone lanyard loop magazine is not proper for this pistol as this type magazine was last issued with serial no. 125566, but it is a far more valuable magazine and there are no stress cracks at the top. The receiver has approximately 50% finish remaining with very little finish on the front and back straps.  I have quite a few pictures of this pistol and if interested, please let me know.  FFL or C&R License is required and a copy of my FFL and a bill of sale will be included with the shipment.  This is a consignment item and reasonable offers will be considered. Match Target Grip Adapters - Caliber: .22, Price: $50.00, Description: My Dad bought a Match Target pistol in 1951 to shoot pheasants with. He also bought some plastic gadgets that may be described as 'palm swells' ???  Brown marbled look. These are to go on the back strap of this series of pistols....... There are 2 different ones in what may be the original envelope. One is thicker than the other, the thick one has some very small chips around the screw hole in the lengthwise fins........the other is chipped along side the inner edge where it would actually contact the back strap, the chipped pieces are still in the bag so I doubt this happened on any gun.
