Colt Pre-Woodsman and Woodsman First Series Model .22 LR - Woodsman 1st Series Sport .22 LR 4.5" Blue, Serial Number 88985 (1933) RARE *medium* barrel Sport

Woodsman 1st Series Sport .22LR 4.5" Blue, 99.5%IB, SN#88985 (1933) RARE *medium* barrel Sport model with correct mint (not darkened by oil as is prevalent with Woodsmans) nicely figured original walnut grips, correct original mainspring housing for high speed ammo, correct two-tone magazine, correct fixed trapezoidal (not half-moon) front sight, mint bore, in way above average correct box numbered to gun with end labels intact and correct, special label on top about new high speed ammo main spring housing, test target numbered to gun, instruction manual, Colt Special Instructions brochure (the 3 paper items are oil-impregnated), original tissue paper.  All markings correct.  Gun is strikingly MINT!  Note: Gun fits within serial number range for medium barrel Sports which ran from SN#86000 - #90000 and were made from 1933 - 34 when the tapered barrel was adopted for the Sport and the Target models.
